As I was RETURNING my copy of JUDY MOODY AND THE NOT BUMMER SUMMER I noticed a trend at the redbox. As I walked up I clearly displayed that I was RETURNING my movie by.....tapping it on my nose, waving it back and forth as a fan, and finally slapping it against my palm to make a loud THWAK noise. I watched 3 people go in front of me, look me in the eye, and proceed to pore over the movies trying to find the one that would fill their night with glee. Yes of course I was annoyed that I merely had to return my movie and be on my way, AND that my children were probably eating all the gum in my purse in my car but, I was trying to be patient. As I watched each person pay for their movie I noticed with a giggle that every one of them swiped their card the wrong way FIRST. So what have we learned today. Well.... if you are at the redbox let the people who are returning go first and ALSO keep an eye on the people swiping in front of you. Make it a game for your significant other or your friends. How many people can you count that swipe the wrong way first.
